Small lightweight camp axe. Perfect for the backcountry or a short weekend excursion. Crafted from .200″ 4140, it is 15.25″ OAL with a 3.25″ cutting edge and a head width of 5″. Hand-filed head and exposed chamfered striking pommel. The axe is finished in worn tungsten cerakote care of Valkyrie Arms. Handle scales are American Ash from the family farm I reclaimed in 2009 after a Spring storm. They are finished in weathered cabernet and secured with chain ring bolts and carbon fiber pins.
